Trespass protects an owner's exclusive possessory rights over their real and movable property.
1. Trespass to Land
The direct, intentional, and physical entry onto another's land without lawful justification. It is actionable *per se*.
Trespass ab initio: Entering land under legal authority and subsequently abusing that power treats the person as a trespasser from the very beginning.
2. Trespass to Goods
Direct and wrongful physical interference with goods in another's possession (e.g., scratching a car or throwing stones at a window).
3. Conversion
An intentional, wrongful dealing with another's goods in a manner inconsistent with their rights, permanently depriving them of use (e.g., selling stolen property).
