Unit 5: Emergency Provisions

Part XVIII of the Constitution contains the Emergency Provisions, designed to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and financial stability during crises.

This unit examines the three types of emergencies: National Emergency (Article 352), President's Rule (Article 356), and Financial Emergency (Article 360). We will analyze the suspension of rights under Articles 358 and 359, reviewing the landmark safeguards added by the 44th Amendment.
